Seasons Greetings

Bristol, CT----- The Florida State Seminoles are about to head into their most anticipated season since 1977 when then head coach, Bobby Bowden, took the Noles from a 5-6 season to an astonighing 10-2 record. "At West Virginia, they sold bumper sticks that said beat Pitt. At Florida State, they sold bumper stickers that said, Beat Anybody." - Bobby Bowden

A Little History Lesson:

It wasn't until 1987, of course when the Noles posted an 11-2 record that their decade-long national domination truly began. The Florida State Seminoles played in every single BCS bowl game and won 14 ACC title championships. The Noles won 9 straight of those 14 ACC title games from 1992 to 2000.

Season Breakdown:

1990: 10-2
Blockbuster Bowl - W against Penn St (24-17)
1991: 11-2
Winning 10 straight in regular season
Cotton Bowl - W against Texas A & M (10-2)
1992: 11-1
Orange Bowl - W against Nebraska (27-14)
1993: 12-1
Orange Bowl - W against Nebraksa (18-16) National Champions
1994: 10-1
Sugar Bowl- W against Florida (23-17)
1995: 10-2
Orange Bowl - W against Notre Dame (31-26)
1996: 11-1
Winning 11 straight in regular season
Sugar Bowl- Lost to Florida (20-52)
1997: 11-1
Sugar Bowl - W against Ohio State (31-14)
1998: 11-2
Fiesta Bowl - Lost to Tennessee (16-23)
1999: 12-0 The Perfect Season
Sugar Bowl - W against VT (46-29)
2000: 11-2
Orange Bowl - Lost to OKLAHOMA (2-13)

2001 marked the ending of the Seminoles 52 game at home winning streak. With that said, I believe it is appropriate to take note of the Noles' very last competitor of their notable years as a college football power house.

O.K.L.A.H.O.M.A.

With the 2011 season approaching quickly, it is my best intention to graciously warn the Oklahoma Sooners to WATCH THEIR BACKS. The Florida State Seminoles are on the cusp of greatness come August. It has been nothing but insurmountable dedication and hard work on the practice fields in Tallahassee that the players have shown their coaches. Each player could probably tell you just how excited they are to be starting this season, but with a keen sense of style and poise, they choose to keep their confidence on the down low. I think I can speak for most of my fellow fans and classmates that the Florida State Seminoles are ready to take over, once again and be more than willing to never look back at the times they call their "transition" years.

LETS GO NOLES!!!!!
